PTI top huddle throws weight behind PAT Jan 17 protest

ISLAMABAD, JAN 13 (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has voiced its utter support to the protest of Pakistan Awami Tehreek on 17th of January and has directed all regional presidents to make preparations in this regard.

Reiterating the demand to merge FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI dubbed the approval of federal government’s bill, insufficient.

PTI has decided to take Hudaibiya Paper Mills case to its logical end and has announced to take up the issue with Supreme Court under the principle of public interest, if National Accountability Bureau does not take action.

According to the details issued by party’s Central Media Department an important meeting of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf’s core group held today at Chairman’s Secretariat Banigala with Chairman PTI in the chair.
It has been decided in the meeting to join PAT’s protest on 17th of January and regional presidents have been issued directions in this regard.
PTI leaders discussed in detail the merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PTI criticized approval of federal government’s bill to extend jurisdiction of Supreme Court and High Court to FATA terming it insufficient and has demanded to implement the FATA Reforms Package wholly in the tribal areas. Warning the government, PTI stated that further deprivation of rights will compel us to resist and retaliate to get our justified demands be fulfilled.
According to the details furnished by CMD, it has also been decided in the meeting to take Hudaibiya Paper Mills case to its logical end. PTI imparted that turning a blind eye to massive corruption and money laundering of billions is out of question.

If National Accountability Bureau does not take action, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf will pursue the case. PTI maintained that it will not remain aloof and will take up the issue with the apex court of the country under the principle of public interest.

PTI is committed to go to every extent to bring country and nation’s looted wealth back.
In the meeting PTI leadership also analyzed Jang and Geo Group’s anti-state conduct and has decided to counter Mir Shakeel ur Rehman’s hateful demeanor towards the country.

PTI decided to take into account Mir Shakeel ur Rehman’s financial matters on relevant forums maintaining that every “accomplice” of Nawaz Sharif must be investigated and be brought to book.
