ISLAMABAD, NOV 26 (DNA) – An Interior Ministry’s notification, seeking Pakistan Army’s support, went unheeded on Saturday after its authenticity was questioned for number of clerical errors committed until the ministry had verified its veracity.

Rumours began to circulate about authenticity of notification asking for the army’s support for number of typographical errors. However, the ministry later confirmed the issuance of notification.

The first error spotted was relating the serial number which ended back in ‘2013’, pointing towards the year of issue.

The second error was made in the section of copies sent to officials, as it stated a copy was dispatched to DG Rangers Punjab, calling to ensure fool-proof security to the participants of the Eco Summit, which was held in 2013.

The Ministry of Interior had issued a notification to authorize deployment of the Pakistan Army troops in the federal capital to assist civil authorities under Article 245 of the constitution.

According to the notification, the sufficient number of troops’ deployment is to be determined by the Commander of 111 Brigade to bring the situation under control, coming into effect from November 25 until further orders.

The issuance of notification came after a daylong crackdown against Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protesters to clear Faizabad Interchange, an arterial traffic intersection, of the federal capital city. However, the protesters seemed totally unmoved by the crackdown.
