NAB should not be dragged in political matters for point scoring: NAB Chairman
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal has begun surveying regional NAB offices. He visited Lahore NAB office in the first phase and demanded all regional offices to present reports regarding mega corruption cases within three months. According to the sources, speaking on the occasion NAB Chairman said that NAB should not be dragged in political matters for point scoring as NAB was not created to be a target specific political tool.
The chairman also said that NAB’s top most priority is the eradication of corruption and the institution’s performance will be self evident in the future.
With regard to the bureau’s current endeavour, the chairman said that so far, 33 cases have been concluded, while 50 remain under investigation.
