Azerbaijani envoy calls on Karachi mayor
KARACHI, (DNA) – Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Pakistan Ali Alizada along with his delegation on Wednesday called on Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar in his office at Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries in different sectors.
Akhtar warmly welcomed the delegation, saying, “Pakistan and Azerbaijan enjoy friendly relations, which will further boost with the passage of time.”
He further said that Karachi was the backbone of the country in terms of its importance and that the city administration was making every effort to improve the city’s infrastructure and restore its unique status, he said.
Akhtar also said that they had full cooperation from international institutions to bring a modern network and development in the city and to this end, the cooperation from investors in Azerbaijan would be very welcome.
Ali Alizada said that he wished the best for the plans between the two countries, adding that they had already been initiated to provide better civic facilities to citizens in Karachi.
