MQM-P to stay put and retain symbol, manifesto: convener
KARACHI – After the all-important session held between MQM-P leaders, convener Kanwar Naveed Jameel told media that their party will stay put and retain its flag, manifesto and election symbol.
He refuted to the notion of merger and told that their party will only have an alliance with PSP for 2018 General Elections.
Explaining the nature of MQMP-PSP alliance, he gave the example of an historical alliance between MMA and IJI in post-Zia era.
In the press conference, Jameel clarified that MQM-P chief Farooq Sattar had only mentioned a political alliance as their party will stick to their symbol of Kite and manifesto.
He assured that their alliance with PSP will not be held on the seats which they have won. MQM-P committee expressed its full support for Farooq Sattar, he added.
He also refuted to the claims of his party members joining PPP, and said that Khushbakht Shujaat will stay in MQM.
