ISLAMABAD, NOV 09 (DNA) – Mayor and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sheikh Anser Aziz has welcomed Turkish government interest in developing various educational and health institutions especially in Islamabad adding his institution will provide all possible help to Turkish government and its designated agencies towards this end.
The Mayor and Chairman CDA expressed these views while talking to Turkish delegation that called on him at his office on Thursday.
The Mayor and Chairman further said, the present government of PML N believes in uplift of particularly less developed sectors with a view to providing people best educational and healthcare facilities.
He told the delegation as Mayor and Chairman CDA he already had taken a number of initiatives for the welfare of residents. He said Turkish interest in this respect was more than welcome and it would surely help the civic body to ensure even better services to the people.
Sheikh Anser further said, Turkish government’s interest in partnering with CDA for up-gradation of CDA hospital and school was indeed a gracious step, which would ostensibly bring peoples of both Turkey and Pakistan even closer.
The Mayor and Chairman assured the delegation he will definitely look into the proposal of establishing a huge mosque on the pattern of Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.
Earlier, the delegation told the Chairman that Turkey, apart from other projects, is interested in establishing a huge mosque in Islamabad. The entire construction cost shall be borne by the Turkish government.
