Following footprints of tomato, price of onion also goes sky high
FAISALABAD, OCT 11 (DNA)- Following tomato, the onion prices have surged to a new high of Rs100/kg in various markets of Faisalabad.
A few days back, onion was being sold at Rs40 to Rs50 per kilogram in weekly markets. Officials concerned told our correspondent that Rs60 to Rs645 per kg rate of onion has been mentioned on lists distributed whereas shopkeepers state that they are purchasing the commodity at Rs90/kg from vegetable markets.
It should be recalled that price of tomato had also surged to Rs250 per kg a few days back.=DNA
