Sindh govt transfers 8500 acres of land to army for families of martyrs
KARACHI, OCT 07 (DNA) – Sindh government has transferred 8500 acres of land to army for families of martyred.
Sources privy to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are terming it as a welcome gesture from Zardari-led party to mend relations with the establishment.
As per details, Sindh Revenue Department has issued notice to regularize land located in vicinity of District Jamshoro on directives of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
Former Sindh Governor Mohammad Mian Soomro gave this land to army at cost of Rs100 per acre back then in year 2000. This land was given to army as replacement to their land which came in construction area of dam.
Sindh Revenue Department, gave allotment of land to army at new cost of Rs15000 per acre.
