Pakistani student wins prestigious award in UK
LONDON, SEPT 14 (DNA) – Pakistan’s Kanza Azeemi, a passing-out student of an MBA from Said Business School, has been awarded the prestigious Saïd Prize in United Kingdom.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, Saïd Prize is presented to an MBA student for showing outstanding academic excellence and making significant contribution to the MBA program and the Oxford community.
Azeemi completed her Masters in Business Administration from Said Business School and was a member of St. Hugh’s College at the University of Oxford in United Kingdom. She achieved this honor competing against 327 students from 58 countries. Saïd Business School’s Dean, Peter Tufano announced Azeemi ‘s award in a prestigious ceremony at the centuries-old Sheldonian Theatre designed by Christopher Wren in the 1600s.
While presenting the award, the Dean acclaimed Azeemi’s position on the Dean’s Honour List and the events she organized as the elected Co-Chair of the Women’s Leadership Oxford Business Network, which was one of the most active OBNs of the year that works to promote females in leadership positions and gender equality.
Azeemi’s efforts to organize International Women’s Day events that brought inspirational women from her MBA class into the spotlight were specifically praised and recognized.
