Submitted audited bank accounts details in ECP, PTI lawyer tells SC
ISLAMABAD, JUL 30 (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyer Anwar Mansoor on Monday appeared before Supreme Court (SC) and presented his arguments in Imran Khan disqualification case.
A three-member bench of the SC headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Umar Bandiyal and Justice Faisal Arab conducted the hearing of the case.
PTI lawyer said that audited bank accounts details were submitted in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). He said ECP cannot counter check the audited bank accounts and that if there would be any issue, then ECP can raise objection against them on the same time.
CJP said that every political party is bound to provide its funding sources and that all the parties are accountable in this regard.
On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi submitted another plea in the case, terming record submitted by PTI as self-made as it is not matching with the data present on SARA website.
The petition further claimed that PTI tried to commit forgery and fraud.
Hanif Abbasi had alleged that in his declaration of assets for tax year 2014, Imran Khan had willfully concealed his investment of Rs2.97 million to purchase a luxury apartment at Constitution Avenue’s Grand Hyatt locality in Islamabad.=DNA
