Two killed, 8 injured as three-storey building collapses in Karachi
KARACHI, JUL 18 (DNA) – A three-story building in Liaquatabad No-9 area of Karachi collapsed on Monday night, killing at least two persons and wounding eight others. Eye witnesses said that over 20 people are trapped under the rubble of the building.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and retrieved dead bodies of 13-year-old Ayan and an unidentified man from the rubble. The rescue teams also retrieved eight injured from the debris.
Rescue sources said that seven of the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital while one was rushed to Civil Hospital.
The rescue sources further said that the death toll may rise further as more than 20 persons are still trapped under the debris.
