China to continue playing role for development in Pakistan: Wang Yi
ISLAMABAD, JUN 25 (DNA) – Talking to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Saturday said that his country will continue playing its role for development and progress in Pakistan.
Wang Yi said China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC) will bring about peace and prosperity in the region.
He said both the countries want to promote trade and industry. He praised speedy progress and economic stability in Punjab and efforts of Shahbaz Sharif for good governance.
The Chief Minister said friendship between the two countries has been converted into economic cooperation, and the two countries hold identical opinion on regional and international matters.
He said a new era of development and progress has ushered in Pakistan due to projects of CPEC.
Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also held delegation-level talks in Islamabad and discussed bilateral issues and regional situation.=DNA
