Celebration begins as Pakistan qualifies into semis of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017

LONDON, JUN 12 (DNA) – Pakistan is going head-to-head against Sri Lanka today at Cardiff, in what will be a do-or-die contest between the two Asian cricketing giants. Sri Lanka, after 20 overs, stand at 100 runs with three wickets lost.
Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews has joined Niroshan Dickwella on the crease. Dickwella, who has reached his half-century will be looking to cement a partnership with Mathews as Mohammad Hafeez and Fahim Ashraf lead the bowling attack for Pakistan.
Hasan Ali got Pakistan its second wicket, bowling Mendis out with a sharp delivery nipping back into the stumps. Fahim Ashraf followed it up with another quick one, getting an inside edge off the experienced Chandimal’s bat, right into the wickets.
Fahim Ashraf replaces Shadab Khan in the Pakistani side while Dhananjaya de Silva comes in for Kusal Perera in the Lankan side.
