Aitzaz Hassan’s family seeks protection after getting death threats
PESHAWAR, JUN 09 (DNA) – Aitzaz Hassan who is a symbol of courage and sacrifice for the Pakistani nation after his heroic death while preventing a suicide attacker from entering his school, must be disturbed in his afterlife as his family continually receive threats through letters and other means.
Mujtaba Hassan who is the brother of the deceased Aitzaz has told Pakistan Today that ” a van came up to my village and handed an envelope to a local shop keeper telling him to give it to Aitzaz’s family and declared themselves as sympathizers of the hero and his family. When later that night we received the letter it had threatened us of dire consequences if the family didn’t stop talking to media and the authorities.”
He also revealed that he had written applications to the interior ministry, Commander Frontier Corps, the Core Commander of his area and to the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but all in vain.
he added “being the brother of a hero who laid down his life for the country and to save his fellow students, i have been refused justice from everywhere, and now i feel worried about the rest of my family.”.=DNA
