No plan to contest elections: PM’s son Hussain Nawaz
ISLAMABAD, JUN 09 (DNA) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son, Hussain Nawaz appeared yet another time before the Panama case Joint Investigation Team (JIT) today.The SC appointed JIT is probing the international financial dealings of the Sharif family in light of the April 20 Supreme Court judgment in the Panama case.
Talking to the media after appearing before the JIT on Friday, he said he has no plans to contest elections. Replying to a question, he said no action can be taken against anyone on basis of mere allegations. This was the Hussain Nawaz’s fifth appearance before the high-profile probe team in less than two weeks.
On Thursday, Hussain’s younger brother, Hassan, made his second appearance before the JIT and is reported to have been probed for nearly five hours.
The premier’s special secretary Asif Kirmani who was accompanying Hasan Nawaz lashed out at the ‘character assassination’ of the prime minister’s family while talking to the media.
The JIT is probing the international financial dealings of the Sharif family in light of the April 20 Supreme Court judgment in the Panama case.
