Fire erupts in Karachi plastic factory
KARACHI, MAY 21, (DNA) – Fire erupted in a plastic factory in Labour Square area of SITE Sunday morning. However, labourers were not present inside the factory as it was a day off. Therefore, no loss of life has been reported.
The police and fire brigade personnel tried to contain the fire from reaching the roof of the factory as gas cylinders were installed there. Besides, a grid station of K-Electric and CNG station were also situated close to the factory.
Initially, five fire brigades were reportedly sent to the site but were not sufficient to douse the inferno, therefore more vehicle were later dispatched. Three water tankers have also reached the area.
