Three-day polio eradication drive begins
PESHAWAR, MAY 15, (DNA) – A three-day polio eradication drive began across the country on Monday. Around 6.6 million children up to the age of five will be administered the vaccine in areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA.
In Punjab, the campaign has started in Multan, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Hafizabad and Rawalpindi, according to the spokesman of Punjab Health Department.
In Balochistan, two million children will receive the vaccination while in Muzaffarabad, more than 120,000 children will be vaccinated.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, over 236,000 children will be administered anti-polio vaccine drops. Health teams will be present at railway and bus stations as well to ensure complete vaccination.=DNA
