FIA lady constable suspended in torture case
ISLAMABAD, MAY 01, (DNA) – Director General FIA Muhammad Emleash has suspended FIA employee Ms. Gazalla Shaheen for allegedly subjecting the female passengers to torture at Benazir Bhutto International airport.
According to media reports, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan took notice of a video showing FIA lady constable Ghazala Shaheen torturing a female passenger, and directed the Director General of FIA to probe the incident.
No mention was made in the report about how the female passengers had been tortured by FIA lady constable. However, this could clearly be seen in a video.
DG FIA rejected the report, and directed Shaheen to report to the zonal office after her suspension.
Meanwhile, a two-member committee has been set up to investigate the case.
