Cheaper sunglasses hazardous for eyes
KARACHI, APR 17, (DNA) – The sale of sunglasses has soared in Karachi as sun continues to unleash scorching heat with mercury’s reaching new record every day.
The masses use sunglasses in such harsh climatic circumstances to save their eyes. Sunglasses are a form of protective eyewear designed primarily to prevent bright sunlight and high-energy visible light from damaging or discomforting the eyes.
Citizens often buy sunglasses hanging along roadside stalls. But question stems whether these sunglasses are useful or not.
Eye specialists believe that these cheaper sunglasses are not efficient in saving eyes from ghastly effects of dangerous sun rays. They urged locals to buy high-standard sunglasses to save their eyes from hazardous rays of sun.
