DUSHANBE, MAR 17 (DNA) . Federal Minister for Defence and Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday met with the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojidin Aslov.

Both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest. Tajikistan and Pakistan enjoy very close relations. CASA 1000 energy project that will help Pakistan overcome its energy needs, is in the final stages.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif is in Dushanbe these days to discuss progress on CASA 1000 and other issues in order to cement relations between the two countries.

Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Sherali Jononov is also in Dushanbe to facilitate visit of Pakistani delegation to Dushanbe.=DNA
