Lebanese ambassador fetes visiting MPs
ISLAMABAD, MAR 16 (DNA)- Ambassador of Lebanon Mona el Tannir on Thursday hosted a lunch for the visiting parliamentarians from Lebanon, who are in Islamabad to attend a conference.
The ambassador of Lebanon welcomed the MPs and wished them a pleasant stay in Pakistan. She said the visit will promote and strengthen relations between the two countries.
The ambassador further said, in the field of education, she said, Lebanon has requested Pakistan for deputing our teaching staff to different universities of Pakistan who can make worthwhile contribution in the field of education.
Lebanese teachers are very professional and have a vast experience of world’s education systems. We hope to receive a positive response to our request.
Lebanon is also seeking to be enlisted in Pakistan Technical Assistance Program offered by Economics Affairs Division of the Ministry of Finance every year for awarding scholarships to Lebanese students in professional education (medical, engineering & pharmacy) as Pakistan offers qualitative education of international standard.
Ambassadors/envoys Libya, Sudan, Palestine, Iraq, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Bahrain and Egypt also attended the function. Additional Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tasawar Khan was also present=. DNA
