Border crossings at Torkham, Chaman reopen
CHAMAN, MAR 07, (DNA) -Pak-Afghan border crossing points at Torkham and Chaman were reopened for two days.
Officials said the crossings will remain open on Tuesday and Wednesday to provide an opportunity to those nationals of Afghanistan who had come to Pakistan on valid visas and wish to return to their country.
The crossing points will also remain open for those nationals of Pakistan who had gone to Afghanistan on valid visas and wish to return to Pakistan.
The decision has been conveyed by Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz to the Afghan Ambassador by telephone.
The crossings were closed after repeated terror attacks from Afghanistan last months.
The Pakistani authorities took the decision to partially open the border on the request of Afghan government.
