Foreign players of Peshawar Zalmi get Pakistani visa
DUBAI, MAR 03, (DNA) – Five foreign players of the Peshawar Zalmi franchise have been issued Pakistani visa to play the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore on March 5, according to Javed Afridi, owner of the franchise.
Javed Afridi, in a video message on Twitter, claimed that five foreign players of the team have been issued visa following their willingness to travel to Lahore.
“I want to share a good news with all of you that all five foreign players of Peshawar Zalmi have been issued Pakistani visa and they will come to Pakistan if Peshawar Zalmi qualifies for final,” he said in the video.
Eight foreign players – DJG Sammy, TM Dilshan, ADS Fletcher, Chris Jordan, EJG Morgan, MN Samuels, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal – are part of Zalmi. It was not clear which five of them have been issued visa.
The development came a day after all three foreign players of the Quetta Gladiators refused to come to Pakistan citing security concerns.=DNA
