Staging PSL final in Lahore carries huge risks with no benefit at all: Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD, FEB 28, (DNA) -Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan on Tuesday has strongly opposed the decision of holding Pakistan Super League-2 final in Lahore.
Khan took to twitter and said that he dearly wishes that international cricket returns to Pakistan but conducting the PSL final in Lahore poses risk and carries no benefit.
According to him, the strict safety system will exaggerate the security issue of the country.
He let it be known that if in case any kind of mishap is confronted meanwhile, the country will be deprived of cricket for ten years or so.
Earlier, the PTI chief had termed the idea of hosting PSL final in Lahore ‘insane’.
On Monday, Government of Punjab permitted Pakistan Cricket Board to hold final match of PSL 2017 on March 5 in the provincial capital.
The decision of the government has come in during a conundrum after the odds of Lahore hosting the final match ebbed following a suicide blast on February 13 claiming 14 lives.=DNA
