PIA pilot, stewardess served notices for overloaded Madina flight
FEB 27, (DNA) -Pakistan International Airlines has served show-cause notices to pilot and two officials for boarding 416 passengers on Madina-bound Boeing-777 on February 20 that could accommodate 409 persons.
Reportedly, Captain Anwer Adil, stewardess Hina Turab and terminal manager named Akbar Ali Shah were issued show-cause notices to after the over-boarding was reported earlier on flight PK-743.
The national airlines had formed an inquiry committee to probe the issue which found the allegations to be true.
Madina-bound PK-743 departed from Jinnah International Airport on February 20 and at least seven passengers travelled for over four hours in breach of safety measures.
