India leveling baseless charges against Pakistan: Ambassador Jalil
WASHINGTON, 30 OCT, (DNA) – Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani says India is levelling baseless charges of cross-border terrorism against Pakistan to divert world attention from its human rights violations in Kashmir.
He was speaking at a seminar on “Jammu & Kashmir Dispute” hosted by the Pakistan Embassy in Washington.
Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani said Pakistan would continue its moral and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir despite India’s war mongering.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has urged the international community to pressurize India into allowing Kashmiri people to exercise their right of self-determination to pave the way for peace and stability in the region.
This was stated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi while speaking to Pakistani and Kashmiri community members in New York.
The Ambassador denounced the brutal tactics by Indian security forces in suppressing the mass uprising, and described the prolonged curfews in Occupied Kashmir as 107 days of shame and infamy. =DNA
