Enver Baig hosts dinner to bid farewell to Romanian envoy
ISLAMABAD, AUG 6 (DNA).. Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani has said Pakistan and Romania enjoy close relations hoping these relations will grow even in the coming days.The Senate Chairman was speaking on the occasion of a farewell dinner hosted by former Senator Enver Baig for the outgoing ambassador of Romania Emilian ION.
The Chairman Senate further said to begin with he worked with the Romanian official airline as legal adviser.
The host Senator Enver Baig praised services of the outgoing ambassador for promotion of bilateral relations. Baig hoped his predecessor will also keep up the same pace. He added, Ambassador Emilian spent a memorable time in Pakistan and contributed significantly towards strengthening of relations in all fields.
Ambassador of Romania in his speech thanked the senator for hosting the grand dinner. The ambassador on the occasion briefly touched upon initiative that he had taken during his seven and half years stay in Pakistan.
He said he will be happy to receive his Pakistani friends in Romania. Ambassador Emilian is leaving Pakistan on August 17 after completing his tenure in Pakistan. He will spend some time at the headquarters and then will leave for another posting, expectedly somewhere in Africa. DNA
