Those who accept slavery have no future: Imran Khan
PALANDARI, 06 JUNE (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan addressed a public gathering in Palandari ahead of the elections that are to take place in Azad Kashmir.He stated that a lot of effort needs to be done in order to make Pakistan a great country.
Khan said that corruption has badly influenced Pakistan, adding that money has been taken out of the country through illegal means whereas the people have been placed under the burden of taxes. He futher added that a number of institutions have been affected by corruption.
He remarked that the members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and those of the National Database and Registrations Authority (NADRA) have sold their consciences. “Those who destroyed institutions cannot make any improvements in them”, he stated. He also criticised Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman during his speech.
Imran Khan praised the spirit of the Kashmiri people and said that he salutes them, adding that thpeople of the region have bravely fought in the war for freedom. “Those who fight for independence never die”, he said. Khan also requested the elderly people to join PTI.
Khan said that those who embrace slavery have no future, adding that the fight for justice will continue. PTI Chairman gave examples of different great men in history who stood for a cause and made their mark. He said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah did not make a compromise with his superiors, instead he fought for freedom till the very end. DNA
