Pakistan, Kazakhstan agreed to enhance bilateral relations, mutual interest
ASTANA, 06 JUNE (DNA) – Minister for Defence Production of Pakistan, Rana Tanveer Hussain, was leading Pakistan delegation to the Kazakhstan Defence Exhibition (KADEX-2016) held in Astana from 02-05 June, called on the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Mr. Karim Massimov.
The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan showing satisfaction over bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, appreciated Pakistan’s participation in the IV International Exhibition KADEX – 2016 and conveyed his country’s desire to enhance bilateral relations with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.
Conveying his happiness over signing of Agreement on Military Technical Cooperation between the two countries today, he said that Ministry of Defence had been instructed to enhance cooperation with Pakistan meaningfully. He emphasized cooperation between the two countries in regional and international forums.
The Prime Minister inquiring about present health condition of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, wished him speedy recovery and good health. The Minister for Defence Production briefing the Prime Minister about his meeting with the Defence Minister of Kazakhstan Mr. Tasmagambetov Imangali Nurgaliyevich held this morning, conveyed that Pakistan accords high importance to its relations with Kazakhstan.
He emphasized on exchange of high level delegations between defence production sector of the two countries. Maj. Gen. Tariq Gafoor, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence Production, attended the meeting.
The Minister also visited various pavilions in KADEX established by Kazakhstan and 40 participating countries including Pakistan. He showed great interest in the displayed arms and military equipment by various domestic and foreign manufacturers.
Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS) Pakistan’s leading public sector corporate company dealing in export of military, industrial, technological products/ systems and services established a pavilion in the exhibition and displayed its products. A large number of visitors showed up to GIDS pavilion and expressed their interest in Pakistan’s Defense products. DNA
