Tariq Fatemi meets UK PM in Washington
WASHINGTON, April 01 (DNA): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Tariq Fatemi, held a meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron in Washington.
The held at sidelines of Nuclear Security Summit in US.
The British Prime Minister expressed grief and sorrow over the Lahore tragedy and appreciated the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war on terror, officials said.
“Britain will continue cooperation with Pakistan in economy and security fields… There is need to further bolster cooperation in education and energy sectors,” officials quoted David Cameron as saying.
Tariq Fatemi, who represents Pakistan at the summit, said terrorism poses common threat to Pakistan and Britain.
Fatemi also held a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister in Washington.
Matters pertaining to bilateral cooperation and mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. DNA
