FGEHA rejects unauthorized document on Park Road/Margalla Orchard scheme

ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (DNA): Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) on Friday disowned an unauthorized document purportedly containing commitments regarding land, allotment, development and payment matters in connection with the Park Road/Margalla Orchard Housing Scheme.

According to a FGEHA spokesperson, the document, purportedly executed between the Director Land of FGEHA and Sadeer Ahmad Chaudhary, son of Muhammad Sharif, and Syed Tanveer Hassan Shah, son of Syed Irshad Hussain Shah, has been circulating on social media and among stakeholders of the housing scheme.

The spokesperson clarified that the document had neither been issued nor approved by the competent authority of FGEHA and did not represent the authority’s official position, decision, undertaking, commitment or assurance.

FGEHA has expressly disowned the document and all representations, arrangements and obligations purportedly contained therein, stating that it would have no binding effect or legal consequence against the authority.

The spokesperson further clarified that no FGEHA officer, including the Director Land, was competent to independently bind the authority to any settlement, compromise, financial arrangement or other substantive commitment unless specifically authorized by the FGEHA Executive Board.

The authority advised all members, allottees, applicants and other stakeholders not to rely on or act upon the document, particularly by making payments or entering into transactions or arrangements on its basis.

Stakeholders have been urged to rely exclusively on documents and communications issued through FGEHA’s authorized channels, the spokesperson further added.

He said the authority reserved the right to take appropriate legal action against the unauthorized use or circulation of documents purporting to be official FGEHA documents or undertakings.

The public notice has been issued in the public interest to prevent stakeholders from being misled by the unauthorized document.
