Pakistan, Russia hold first Asia security talks in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, NOV 14 /DNA/ – Pakistan and Russia held the inaugural consultations on Security Issues in Asia in Islamabad. Mr. Aleksei Ovchinnikov, DG for Asia & Pacific Cooperation (Russia MFA), met Amb. Tahir Andrabi, Additional Foreign Secretary (ACDIS) & Spokesperson, for substantive exchanges on regional security dynamics, emerging alliances, and areas for enhanced cooperation.
DG Ovchinnikov also called on Amb. Imran Siddiqui, Additional Foreign Secretary (Asia Pacific), and took part in an interaction at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). Pakistan values its cooperative ties with Russia and remains committed to dialogue-driven approaches that advance regional peace and stability.
