Interior Minister surprise visit finds passport delays replaced by efficiency
LAHORE, OCT 7 /DNA/ – No long queues. No hours of waiting. Passport issuance made easy. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a surprise visit to the Executive Passport Office in Defence, Lahore.
The Interior Minister met with citizens who had come to get their passports made and inquired about the arrangements and the passport issuance process. The citizens expressed satisfaction over the excellent arrangements.
“Now, it takes only five minutes for our turn to come, and the process is completed quickly. Earlier, we had to wait for hours, and sometimes the system would go down,” citizens told the minister. “The staff fully guides us, and the entire passport-making process is commendable. Passports are also delivered within the stipulated time,” they added.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi appreciated the performance of the office in-charge and staff for maintaining excellent arrangements and for earning the satisfaction of the citizens.
Mohsin Naqvi said, “I am truly pleased to visit the passport office. Indeed, the satisfaction of citizens is our real success.”
