Outgoing Austrian Ambassador Pays Farewell Call on President
ISLAMABAD; JULY 23 (DNA): The outgoing Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan, Mrs. Andrea Wicke, paid a farewell call on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr. The President appreciated her efforts in strengthening bilateral cooperation during her tenure.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, President Zardari said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Austria and emphasized the need to enhance trade and economic ties for the mutual benefit of both countries. He highlighted the vast potential of Pakistan’s tourism sector and invited Austrian investment, particularly in alpine tourism, an area where Austria possesses considerable expertise.
The President also underlined Pakistan’s growing pool of skilled IT professionals and suggested that Austrian companies could benefit from Pakistan’s human capital in the information technology sector.
President Zardari congratulated Ambassador Wicke on the successful completion of her assignment and extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.
