Pakistan welcomes G20 Summit Statement calling for Gaza ceasefire
ISLAMABAD, NOV 19 /DNA/ – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomes the statement issued by the G20 summit in Brazil, which included support and adoption of the two-state solution and a call for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, and a demand for the entry of aid and a warning of the dangers of the worsening humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, the Ministry calls on all countries and the international community to translate positions and statements into practical steps that oblige Israel to immediately stop the war of extermination and displacement and abide by international legitimacy resolutions and relevant precautionary orders.
In a related context, the Ministry welcomes the US Treasury’s decision to impose sanctions on the “Amana” settlement organization and its colonial company, which is active in building and developing settlements, and calls on the US administration to impose sanctions on the entire colonial settlement system on the path to ending the occupation in accordance with international law and the General Assembly resolution that adopted the advisory opinion of the International Justice.
