Moscow, JUN 7 /DNA/ – Chairman Senate as part of a four day visit to the Russian Federation at the inivitation of Speaker of Russian Federation Council visited  the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

Chairman  Senate was welcomed by Grand Mufti of Russia Mr. Gaynutdin who briefed the senate delegation reagrding the history and activities of the Mosque as well as the role of the Islam in Russia and Russia’s close relations with the Islamic world.

Chairman Senate appreciated Russia’s stance on respect for all religions and interfaith harmony.
