Sanjrani inaugurates “Education Parliamentarian Caucus Pakistan” to promote quality education
ISLAMABAD, MAR 7 /DNA/ – Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani on Tuesday officially inaugurated the “Education Parliamentarian Caucus Pakistan” at the Senate Secretariat Block-C. Senator Sana Jamali has been appointed as the convener of the caucus.
The caucus aims to achieve the goals of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote quality education for all children in Pakistan.
“The inauguration of the caucus marks an important initiative of the Senate of Pakistan towards improving education”, stated Chairman Senate. According to Article 25-A of the Constitution, it is mandatory to take measures to ensure quality education for all children, adding that the caucus will help increase cooperation with all provinces to achieve this objective.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani suggested the caucus to formulate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and terms of reference (TORs) to ensure the effective implementation of the initiative. He emphasized the need to involve international donors and experts in the caucus for the promotion of quality education.
The Chairman said that the caucus has been inaugurated by the Senate, and now it is the responsibility of the provinces to ensure its implementation which will be adequate for Pakistan and Senate.
Furthermore, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani proposed that the caucus should visit provincial headquarters to enhance cooperation. He urged everyone to work together for the betterment of education in Pakistan.
The inauguration was attended by Senators Zeeshan Khanzada, Liaquat Khan Tarkai, and Sana Jamali, along with MNA Zubaidah Jalal, Secretary Senate Mohammad Qasim Samad Khan, and senior officers of the Senate Secretariat.
The participants depicted the initiative of the Chairman Senate as ideal and expressed their commitment to work for the promotion of education in Pakistan.
