Celebrating the Palestinian Flag Day in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Pakistan celebrated the Palestinian Flag Day, where the flag of the State of Palestine was raised in conjunction with the playing of the Palestinian national anthem.
The State of Palestine began celebrating this day after President Mahmoud Abbas raised the flag of the State of Palestine at the United Nations on September 30, 2015, following the approval of the General Assembly on the 11th of the same month to raise the flag at the United Nations building and headquarters in New York.
In his speech, Ahmed Jawad Rabi’i, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Pakistan, stressed that the flag of Palestine is baptized with the blood of thousands of martyrs and wounded and is a symbol of the Palestinian struggle for goodness and independence.In his speech, he valued Pakistan’s historical position in support of the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom, independence and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
On the other hand, many Palestinian students commemorated this day by raising the Palestinian flag in their places of presence in all parts of sisterly Pakistan, stressing that this flag will remain high and a symbol of the Palestinian struggle.
