Pakistan wants strong ties with Italy: Sanjrani

Italian Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese appreciates Pak role in regional stability

ISLAMABAD: Italian Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese called on Chairman Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani at Parliament House on Tuesday.
The overall regional situation and matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. The Chairman Senate said that cordial relations have been established between the two countries and there is need to further enhance trade and economic relations.
Sadiq Sanjrani was of the view that Italian companies should take advantage of the investment and business opportunities available in Pakistan. The Chairman Senate said that Pakistan attaches special importance to its relations with Italy and is keen to improve relations with Italy in various fields including economic cooperation.
The Chairman Senate underlined that international cooperation was essential to mitigate the socio-economic effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The Italian Ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability and assured that he would play active role in further enhancing diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan. The Italian Ambassador appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani government to deal with Covid situation.
