Philippine Impendence Day celebrations
ISLAMABAD, JUN 12 /DNA/ – Members of the Philippine community living in Pakistan presented cultural performances on the 124 Anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day. The flag hoisting ceremony was also performed ahead of the cultural performances.
The Charge d Affaires of the Philippine embassy and military officials of Philippine and audiences witnessed the ceremony. Maria Agnes M. Cervantes’ the Charge d Affaires of the Embassy spoke to the audience and highlighted the significance of the event.
She told daily Islamabad POST that around 4,000 Philippine Diaspora were living in Pakistan. Some of them were married to Pakistanis. Detailed coverage of the event shall be published in the coming issue of Centreline magazine. Related pictures also appear on page 3 and 4.-DNA
