Pakistan participates in 29th edition of Minsk Int’l Book Fair
MINSK, MAR 27 /DNA/ – Pakistan participated in the 29th edition of Minsk International Book Fair, which was opened on March 23 for five days. Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan visited the inauguration ceremony, opened by the Belarusian Minister for Information.
The fair was organised by the Ministry of Information of Belarus in collaboration with the Belarussian Union of writers, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk established a book stall equipped with a whole range of books on Pakistan covering wide spectrum of literature, coffee table books depicting tourism and cultural heritage and a TV showing documentaries on Pakistan was visited by thousands of Belarusian citizens during the five days.
The 29th Minsk International Book Fair was attended by 295 exhibitors from 13 countries: Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, Germany, Iran, China, Cuba, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Palestine, Pakistan, Syria, Uzbekistan.
