Blinken urges Taliban to allow charter flights to depart from Afghanistan
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has urged the Taliban to allow charter flights to depart from Afghanistan as planes carrying Americans and vulnerable Afghans reportedly have been stranded at Mazar-i-Sharif International Airport.
During a press conference with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in Germany, he denied that the Taliban have barred Americans to fly out from Mazar-e-Sharif International Airport, however, he said that they are not permitting the charter flights to depart as some people lacked valid documents.
