RSS ideology main hurdle in normalising ties: Imran tells Indian media

TASHKENT, JUL 16  (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday snubbed Indian media saying the Indian Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideology was the main hurdle in normalisation of ties with Pakistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is on a two-day visit to Uzbekistan to participate in a conference on ‘Central and South Asia Regional Connectivity, challenges and opportunities’, gave a befitting reply to an Indian journalist from faring media  who asked him how the peace could prevail in the region. PM Khan retorted Pakistan wanted to live like civilized neighbours with India but the RSS ideology was hindering the talks.

“We have been trying to tell India … that we have been waiting … for a long time, let’s live like civilized neighbours, … but what to do, as the RSS ideology has come in the way,” Imran Khan said.

ANI journalist asked PM Imran Khan that India always wanted to know whether talks and ‘terrorism’ could go together, on which Imran Khan gave him a ‘history lesson’ that Pakistan always wanted to live like a civilized neighbour but it is India’s RSS ideology which really poses a hindrance to achieve this goal.

The prime minister was leaving the Congress Hall after attending the conference when the journalist asked that India wants to know whether talks and terror go together.

The Prime Minister has very clear views about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its extremist policies. In an earlier tweet, the Prime Minister had pointed that the “RSS ideology of Hindu supremacy, like the Nazi Aryanupremacy, will not stop in IOK; instead, it will lead to suppression of Muslims in India and eventually lead to targeting of Pakistan. The Hindu Supremacists version of Hitler’s Lebensraum.”

The Prime Minister’s two-year-old tweet stands true to the day as the extremist Hindu policies have made the lives of non-Hindus unbearable under the government of RSS backed BJP government of Narendra Modi. = DNA
