‘Ehsaas Koi Bhooka Na Soye’ to be extended to three more cities of KP, Punjab today
Islamabad : Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce to expand ‘Ehsaas Koi Bhooka Na Soye’ program before the holy month of Ramazan to three more cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
In virtual ceremony on Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan along with Chief Ministers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab will inaugurate a free food service under ‘Ehsaas Koi Bhooka Na Soye’ program through several truck-kitchens in Faisalabad, Lahore and Peshawar.
Each truck will feed 1,500 to 2000 people daily on designated service points.
The concept of truck kitchens ‘Ehsaas Koi Bhooka Na Soye’, the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan for 2021, was launched under the umbrella of Ehsaas to serve free meal boxes twice a day to daily wage earners initially in Rawalpindi and Islamabad and till now meals among 37 thousand people have been distributed.
The programme will be up scaled to other parts of the country later this year in phases.
