Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan appointed at Senate meeting
TASHKENT,20 Dec 2020 : At the 10th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis today the issue of appointing the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan was considered, the correspondent of the Dunyo news agency reports with reference to the information service of the upper house of Parliament.
The senators adopted a resolution on the appointment of Oybek Usmanov to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Oybek Usmanov was born on September 24, 1962 in Tashkent. Graduated from Tashkent State University (now – National University of Uzbekistan).
He has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1997. Over the years, he headed the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Karachi (Pakistan), was the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel and the Representative in the Palestinian Authority, as well as Pakistan, worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Since 2013, he has been the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Egypt.
