PM Imran suggests Australian counterpart to resume PAK-AUS bilateral series
Islamabad : Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has suggested Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison to resume the bilateral cricket series.
During a telephonic conversation yesterday, PM Khan also talked about the possibility of Australia’s tour of Pakistan once the COVID-19 situation improves.
“With improved on-ground situation, cricket between the two sides could also be resumed as the COVID-19 pandemic situation improves,” PM Imran said.
It must be noted that Australia are scheduled to tour Pakistan in 2022 and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is hopeful to welcome five-time world champions. The last time Aussies toured Pakistan was back in 1998 where they played three Tests and as many T20Is.
