TDAP assures to facilitate handcrafts manufacturers

ISLAMABAD: Handicrafts Association of Pakistan organized 1st Virtual Handicraft Forum moderated by Chairman HAP Mr. Fahad Barlas. Mr. Shahzad Ahmed Khan Director Trade Development Authority of Pakistan was the chief guest. Addressing on the occasion, he said TDAP would extend all possible assistance to provide opportunities of trade to handicraft manufacturers of Pakistan. He appreciated the efforts of HAP Chairman Mr. Fahad Barlas and Office bearers for organizing different events with the objectives to highlight the significant importance and trade value of handicrafts. Mr. Shahzad pointed out that People Republic of China has great potential of Pakistani handicrafts and TDAP would help for trading of Pakistani handicrafts besides providing platform and all required facilities for the purpose.
HAP office bearers from all over Pakistan attended the session and discussed matters pertaining to promotion of handicrafts of Pakistan. Ms. Shereen Arshad, Ayesha Khan Country Manager Hashoo Foundation , Akeel Khalid, CEO, Vaceela, Danish Jabbar Khan, CEO, KaarvanCrafts Foundation, Mehnaaz perveen CEO, Karakoram Area Development organization, Tania Buttar deputy General Manager, SMEDA, shared their views regarding different aspects of handicrafts up-gradation.
Addressing on the occasion Mr. Fahad Barlas said that cultural heritage of Pakistan has been depicted through handicrafts and our artisans and craftsmen are highly skilled and their contributions should be acknowledged. He also briefed about the HAP activities and future plans.
