Federal cabinet approves privatization of Pakistan Steel Mills
The Federal Cabinet, endorsing the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), had approved the privatization of Pakistan Steel Mills. During the meeting of Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) approved the privatization of Pakistan Steel Mills. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that in the privatization of Pakistan Steel Mills, securing national interests as well as benefit of the workers should be kept in consideration. It may be recalled that the government had approved the dismissal of 9,350 employees of Pakistan Steel Mills collective payment of Rs 20 billion.
