Uzbekistan exports gold worth over US$1.55 billion in January-April

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (– In January-April 2020, Uzbekistan exported gold worth more than US$1.55 billion. This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Committee.
According to the agency, the growth compared to January-April 2019 made up 26.5%. The share of gold in the export structure of Uzbekistan in January-April 2020 reached 35.3%.
Uzbekistan has increased gold exports in recent years. Gold exports in 2015 exceeded US$823.9 million, in 2016 – US$738.2 million, in 2017 – US$1.6 billion and in 2018 – US$2.91 billion and in 2019 – US$4.92 billion.
