PIA denies reports of flying VIP’s into Pakistan
KARACHI, APR 16 – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has strongly denied reports of the airline flying in VIP’s from Britain to Pakistan.
According to PIA spokesman, PIA brought 1600 people from Britain to Pakistan between April 3 and April 13, most of which were travelers and reports of flights being operated for specific persons are strongly denied.
The statement also said that not only were tickets for the flights in question available from PIA offices and websites, the Airline repeatedly advertised the availability of flights to the general public as well.
The spokesman said that PIA is a professional airline and always fulfills its responsibilities in a neutral, apolitical and reliable manner.
He termed the rumors being spread through certain quarters as baseless propaganda trying to intentionally undermine the services rendered by PIA during these unprecedented times. PIA’s services are being praised by passengers as well as foreign governments, he added.
